Terms and Conditions

Reservation List:

If you wish to be placed on our reservation list, please go to our Contact Me page. Please give us your name,
e-mail address( we cannot contact you otherwise), and what you are specifically looking for ( show,
breeders, pets, colors, sexes, etc). Reservations are filled depending on availability, and not necessarily in
the order in which it was received.
Reservations taken from our Nursery page are honored AFTER we have evaluated the litter(s) and have
made our decisions on whom we wish to keep for our show team and breeding program.
Reservations taken from our Sales page are on a first come, first serve basis.

Terms used on our Nursery and Sales Page:
*Available* : the cavy is available for purchase
*Reserved*: the cavy has been set aside for someone on our reservation list
*Sale Pending*: the cavy has been put on hold, awaiting payment.
*Sold*: payment has been received and we are waiting on pick-up or delivery

Babies are typically held for evaluation until they are 5-6 weeks old, sometimes longer, if we need to watch
their development. We will not let any baby go, even if it is destined to be a pet, before 4 weeks old.

Most breeder boars are proven at the time of sale...the only exception is when they are bought as babies.
Breeder sows will not be sold pregnant, unless it has been pre-arranged for an in-person pick-up early in the
sows pregnancy...no exceptions. We do occasionally make sows available after they have delivered and
weaned a litter.

We categorize our cavies in 3 basic groups:

SHOW : this generally comprises of cavies between the ages of 5 weeks and 8 months old. They will come
with a 3 generation pedigree, ear tagged, and will be sold with no disqualifying faults. Prices generally range
from $30- $55 USD depending on age, and if they are being sold already in wraps.
BREEDERS: are generally cavies that are former show animals, under a year old, or proven, older,
boars/sows. They will come with a 3 generation pedigree( if available). Prices range between $25-30
depending on age.
PETS : cavies that are mismarked for the show table, can be babies or young adults, retired breeders. No
pedigrees are given for pet cavies. Prices range between $10-25, depending on age.

We will give special consideration and discounts for 4-H'ers or ARBA Youth exhibitors.

Holding Cavies:

** We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold reserved cavies. The deposit must be received within
10 days, otherwise the cavies will be offered to the next person on the reservation list, or will be re-listed as
*available* for sale.
** We accept money orders and cashiers checks only.
** Pick-up of your cavies must be arranged within 2 weeks after payment is received. After 30 days, cavies
will be re-listed on our Sales Page, and your deposit will not be refunded.

Pick-Up/ Meeting/ Delivery :

We offer 2 ways to arrange for your cavies after the sale:

Pre-arranged Meeting: if it is at all possible, and within a reasonable driving distance, I can arrange to
meet half way, with a prospective buyer. Compensation for gas and tolls will be applied to the cost of the
cavy. In the past I haven't had to do this, but due to rising gas prices, I can no longer afford the luxury of not
being compensated for my time and travel.

Delivery:

Cavies can be pre-arranged for pick-up at a show we will be attending..... a list of shows we will attend is on
our Sales page.
